Beijing's favorite community event is back for the 7th year running - online! We're dying to get back to the park too but a ZOOM call allows us to join from wherever we are in the world! Even Colorado! Where Founder of Taozi Tree Yoga, Theresa Pauline, Taozi Laoshi will be teaching this class! Theresa will guide us through an all-levels friendly Vinyasa Flow. We have a feeling this time together is going to feel really good.

You have been practicing yoga regularly but you haven’t tried intermediate/advanced classes yet? You are familiar with most poses and you want to challenge yourself trying more advanced ones? Join Alix for an energetic vinyasa flow designed to help you make this transition!

 

With this class, you can expect:

  • to flow at a faster pace than usual level 1 / 2 classes

  • to gradually build the strength needed to power up your practice (say hello to side planks, and chaturanga holds!)

  • to have fun safely trying a few intermediary or advanced poses at every class like wheel (one-legged or not), crow or headstand by building up during the class the group muscles needed and taking the time to explain them. 

 

You'll need: a yoga mat, props are optional (blocks/straps)

LUNCHBREAK VINYASA

This hour-long lunchbreak vinyasa is great for all levels. Break up your at-home routine and get your whole body moving in the middle of your day. Kateryna will move you through a gentle warm, sun salutations and a series of standing postures that work out the kinks in key areas of the body like the shoulders, hips, and low back.

You'll be happy you took the time for practice and nourishment and will be in Savasana before you know it! Relieve stress so you can move through the rest of your day with ease!

 

You'll need: a place to practice, a yoga mat, optional props (blocks/straps)

DEEP CHILL OUT

We're all feeling it aren't we? This time has been really strange and there's a deep need to calm the nervous system and restore ourselves. Move into a more chilled out zone with deep yin stretches, restful restorative poses, balancing pranayamas, and meditations. Walk away feeling looser in the body and more restful and relaxed in the mind. 

 

This class is as beginner friendly as it sounds! You'll need a cozy and beautiful place to practice with pillows, blankets and yoga props nearby to get you as comfy in poses as possible.

Start your weekend off right by moving your body and refreshing your mind. 

 

This Vinyasa level 1-2 will move you through classic sequences of sun salutations, warriors and binds, standing balances & backbends, deep stretches for the hips, and more. The class will bring just enough challenge so that you can break a good sweat and explore what your body - and your mind - can do. Guided meditations at the opening and closing of the class will ground us and prepare us for the weekend ahead.

Equipment needed: a yoga mat, plus a yoga strap or towel and a bolster or regular pillow. Any other props are welcome but not needed. 

 

Kendall has been practicing yoga for fifteen years across three continents. In 2019, the time was finally right for her to study for her Yoga Alliance RYT200 with Theresa at Taozi Tree Yoga, and she has been teaching with Taozi since yoga teacher training graduation day. Kendall’s favorite yoga practice is a powerful flow accompanied by breath work, good music and purposeful alignment cues.
